1.) Forum games section 2.) Spam thread (not advertising, just any chat) 3.) Debate section
I've also thought about an AIML helper bot. For example, someone (or Pandorabots?) hosts a bot that will get a user started with AIML (And others?), e.g provide links to sites, tutorials etc. and also help the user itself.

Thanks for your suggestions. Some of what you've talked about already exists here. For example, there's currently a Gaming Forum, and General Conversation board, and as far as debating goes, that happens all the time. While you may read a few postings where some of the regulars and long-time members get slightly off topic, this is predominantly a message board dedicated to chatbots, helping botmasters, and disseminating news concerning advancements in Artificial Intelligence, chatbot contests, and alternative uses for chatbots, such as Second Life.
This is not really intended to be a chat-board, although since we're all friends and admirers of each other's work, and we share secrets and methods, we might seem a bit "chatty" at times. But you won't see any political debating going on, or discussions about religion or controversial issues, unless they pertain to chatbots or AI.
I like your idea about creating an AIML helper bot, and there's nothing to stop you from making one, it just wouldn't work well here in the forum. Part of our "charm" is the really smart people who are members here and freely offer their assistance... because they enjoy helping others. Turning this into a forum where a chatbot answers questions would be like having one of those automated answering services you get when you call a government office and can't get a straight answer. Personally, I'd rather ask my questions with a person on the other end listening.
There's also a Pandorabots Training Videos section with YouTube tutorials prepared by Dr. Wallace, and... we don't mind answering the same questions, or offering the same links, for every new member or visitor. For us, the fun part is creating the personal relationships with people who share the same interests from all over the world.
