All experienced botmasters have in the back of their mind what I'd call pet peeves, for lack of a better term. They have to do with with how some bots appear or respond, because their new botmasters just didn't know any better.
In thinking about my own beginnings. I recall how I was just lost after I signed up for my first Pandorabot, and how the plethora of information at their site was overwhelming. I needed a simple way to get started. But then, someone called Knyte Trypper dropped in on one of my bots, and slowly, in small increments, the world of chatbots was revealed to me.
The importance of this forum, and you're involvement in it, are the most beneficial when you can share what you've learned. Frequently, because mostly the experts post and reply here, and because they have advanced beyond the everyday mundane things concerning chatbots, the new people quietly, shyly, remain in the shadows, perhaps overly concerned at appearing foolish by asking novice questions.
While this portion of the Pandorabots Section can be used to answer beginner questions, I hope it can also be employed by the valued and experienced botmaster to initiate comments, or suggestions, so that others might benefit from their wisdom.
All " bot" topics are open, and corrections to past postings are encouraged. We're here to learn.
