Users need to be wary of this publicity poll as it has been coded incorrectly. Any votes given to bots higher alphabetical than Joan are given to the bot above. This is due to an incorrect value being assigned. I have emailed Wendell yesterday but no reply as yet. Kind of a shame as I have given Matt over 130+ votes from people thinking they were voting for Mitsuku.

Fortunately, the publicity poll doesn't form part of the contest, so I am not too bothered. However, there's not much point in me promoting the chatterbox challenge website to 1000s of people when their votes are counted incorrectly.
The only way at present to vote for Mitsuku is for people to vote for Morti and so on down the line.

Square Bear, are you implying that all those votes for you are actually Morti's?!?!?!
Just kidding. I know better. When last I looked, Morti had 8 votes, and 6 of them came from family members. Oh well.
BTW, Steve. Mitsuku just got one more vote (compliments of Morti, of course) so that I could view the results. I think I need to offer my services to Wendell for next year's contest, to provide a better poll implementation. One shouldn't have just the voting form as the only access to the results. And I'm sure that I can come up with a more accurate way to tabulate results, without one bot getting another bot's votes.

Arguing over the CBC votes has been going on since it first started. IT is why i stopped entering my chatbot because it became a popularity contest and not true test of the chatbot's ability. I know at one point he had switched to using a set of questions to score plus votes but the end result ended up the same. It is still a good contest i have not entered it for years and years now, almost ten years to be exact, so i am not sure how he does it any more or how it changed.
