If I created a well behaved I phone app that allowed botmasters to share in the revenue, would anyone be interested?
I would. However, I have some concerns about the things my bot does that wouldn't translate to a cell phone text bot. If you read some of the complaints at the support page for the one we've been talking about:
...you can see it doesn't perform the same for every bot. Some of the complaints I've read in my chatlogs say that a woman's voice sounds like a man, and when I offer a link to click, they say there's nothing to click. My bots show images, and there are links on the HTML page that are never viewed on a smart phone in text.
Instead of a simple text bot, I really think it would be better (for bots like mine, or Dave's, or Square Bear's) if the phone app accessed an HTML web page, but I have no idea how difficult that would be, or if it's even possible. All of the bots that have talking heads would seem a lot less interesting if they were reduced to text. It would be just a lot of ALICE bots.

I was thinking more of a web UI similar to what I use for Skynet-AI. If I targeted it just for one platform (Iphone) there are some things that you could be creative with. A web UI is much more flexible than text, I suspect that the current app is using a standard TTS (text to speach) that defaults to a Male voice. The text only interface is probably stripping all other media (no sound, video, other web pages).
