According to Dr. Wallace, Runabot uses the 0.9 aiml set, so it is earlier and slightly simpler than the 1.0 set Pandorabots uses. It uses some tags the Pandorabots set doesn't, and doesn't use a couple that are used by Pandorabots. If you were adapting your update.aiml file to Runabot, the principal differences would be the absence of <srai> and <random>. There are two ways to make up for the absence of <srai>. Runabot allows multiple values in the pattern, so instead of writing an answer set for "Hello" and then sraing Hi, Hey, and Howdy to it, you write a pattern that has hello|hi|hey|howdy all in the pattern using the "|" pipe symbol to separate them. Anything you can't use the multiple patterns for you can turn into "input translations." As you do in the pattern, in the template, instead of using <random> you use the "|" pipe symbol to separate multiple replies. So in response to "hello" you have a template with hi there|hey, how's it going| hi, how are you, etc. Adapting Runabot files to Pandorabots is a bit more difficult. You can exchange the pipes for <srai> or <random>, but there are several Runabot tags like <no reply>, <next reply>, <system>, etc., for which there aren't any Pandorabots equivalents.
